Hendry narrowly misses Indonesia title defence

New Zealand's Michael Hendry has come within one shot of defending his Indonesia Open golf title in Jakarta. The North Harbour professional, who began the final round three shots adrift, enjoyed a fine early run where he made callaway diablo edge irons (http://www.golfstore365.com/Callaway-Diablo-Edge-Irons-4-9PAS-3237.html)
three birdies in the opening five holes, but his good work was undone with a rough run coming into the turn. He made a double bogey at the 7th hole and a triple bogey at the 9th, body blows to his chances of retaining the Indonesia Open title. Hendry responded well on the back with a three-under par 33 which took him to 12-under for the tournament, good enough for a share of second. Thailand's Thaworn Wiratchant shot a one-over par 73 to win the title for a second time, by one shot from Hendry. rue the missed opportunity but banks $86,000 after his best finish on the OneAsia Tour this year. He climbs to sixth on the Order of Merit after playing in five events. Fellow Kiwi Gareth Paddison had a good back nine of four birdies and a bogey to card a final round 70 and finish in a tie for 10th place.
