This season of The Good Wife (http://www.ebacaca.com/The-Good-Wife-Season-1-388.html) has included a few new characters, including the new recurring partner of Lockhart Gardner and Bond, Derrick, and S.A. Wendy Scott-Carr. Now, Ausiello has revealed that we'll be seeing another potentially recurring character, as well as a new love interest for Cary.
In a storyline that is sure to make a few people uncomfortable, Melissa Benoist will be making an appearance on the December 14 episode of The Good Wife Season 1 DVD Releases (http://www.ebacaca.com/The-Good-Wife-Season-1-388.html). She'll be playing Cary's 18 year old cousin. Also - here's the uncomfortable part - she's in love with him.

Chances are nothing much will develop from that (this isn't a soap opera, after all), but it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

In addition to Cary's cousin, Deadline reports that Lie to Me's Tim Guinee has been cast as Wiley, a potentially recurring character. Wiley will be an investigator for the State's Attorney's office and will make his debut appearance in early 2011 when he "agrees to do a little reconnaissance for now-prosecutor Cary (Matt Czuchry) and hits pay dirt". Deadline says it's unknown whether Wiley will cross paths with our resident investigators, Kalinda and Blake.
